What we collect
- Account info — your name and email from Google sign-in.
- Practice sessions — transcripts, scores, AI feedback, coaching insights, and timeline markers from your practice sessions.
- Audio recordings — your spoken audio from practice sessions, stored in secure cloud storage.
- Projects — presentation projects you create, including context settings and linked sessions.
- Usage data — session counts, tier, and onboarding answers to improve the product.
- Feedback — any reports or feedback you submit voluntarily.
What stays on your device
- Theme preference — your dark/light mode setting.
- Anonymous visitor ID — a random identifier for basic site analytics, not linked to your account.
All practice data (sessions, projects, audio) is stored on our servers so you can access it from any device. Uploaded slide content is processed for AI feedback but not permanently stored separately from your session data.
AI processing
When you run an AI analysis, your spoken transcript (text only, not audio) and slide content are sent to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) for feedback generation. Transcripts are stored as part of your session data so you can review past sessions.
How we use your data
- To provide and improve PitchPilote.
- To let you access your practice history from any device.
- To manage your account and subscription tier.
- To send transactional emails (approval notifications, etc.).
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
Data storage
- Account and session data is stored securely using Upstash Redis with encryption in transit.
- Audio recordings are stored in Vercel Blob, a secure cloud object store.
- All data is tied to your authenticated account and inaccessible to other users.
- We retain your data as long as your account is active.
Your rights
- You can delete your entire account and all associated data instantly from Settings > Delete Account.
- Deletion is permanent and removes all sessions, projects, audio recordings, usage data, and account information from our servers.
- You can also contact us to request data deletion or export.
